Hemagglutinates porcine, Rh+ monkey, and feline red blood cells at pH 6.0-7.5. May fail to immunize dogs if passaged 8-10 times in feline cells. |

| Growth Conditions |
Recommendations for Infection: Plate cells 2-4 hours prior to infection and infect when cultures are 30-40% confluent. Remove medium and inoculate with a small volume of virus (e.g. 1 mL per 25 cm2) diluted to provide an optimal MOI (e.g. 0.1). Adsorb 1-2 hours at 35°C in a humidified atmosphere, rocking every 15 minutes to redistribute inoculum. End adsorption by adding virus growth medium.
Incubation: Incubate infected culture for 3-9 days at 35°C in a humidified atmosphere, until CPE are well advance throughout.
