The original deposit of this cell line was contaminated with microorganisms. The line was treated with antibiotics and is now cured of the contamination. Animals were immunized with purified HSV-1 nucleocapsids. Spleen cells were fused with P3-NSI/1-Ag4-1 myeloma cells. The antibody precipitates p40 and p45 of HSV-1 but not HSV-2. The supernatant may have to be concentrated for use. |
