Animals were immunized with a synthetic polypeptide with the sequence LSPEEEEKRRIRRERNKMAAAKC corresponding to peptides 132-154 of the c-fos oncogene. The antibody reacts with the synthetic c-fos oncogene peptide. In ELISA testing, it cross-reacts weakly with the r-fos peptide. In immunoblot testing a protein of approximately 70 kd is detected in duck cells infected with v-fos. |

The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium, Catalog No. 30-2002. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%.

Medium Renewal: Add fresh medium every 2 to 3 days (depending on cell density) Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 2 X 10 exp5 viable cells/ml. Maintain cell density between 2 X 10 exp5 and 2 X 10 exp6 viable cells/ml. |
