VacA is a secreted protein that induces vacuolation of epithelial cells. The antibody reacts with purified native s1-m1 VacA but not with denatured VacA. The antibody recognizes a conformational epitope in the carboxy terminal portion of VacA (amino acids 685 to 821). The antibody can be used for ELISA and immunoprecipitation applications. |

Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 cells. The antibody reacts with purified native s1-m1 VacA but not with denatured VacA. The antibody recognizes a conformational epitope in the carboxy terminal portion of VacA (amino acids 685 to 821). It does not recognize type s2-m2 VacA. |

Medium Renewal: Add fresh medium every 2 to 3 days (depending on cell density) Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium.
