Derivation	The line was established in May 1988 from lymph node, a metastatic site.
Clinical Data	The tissue donor was a non-smoker.
Complete Growth Medium	The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated RPMI-1640 Medium, ATCC 30-2001. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum (ATCC 30-2020) to a final concentration of 10%.
Subculturing	Cells grow as floating aggregates of round cell clusters. Clusters are alive while single cells have very low viability. Do not try to break up the clusters as this would decrease the viability. Centrifuge cell suspension every 2 to 3 days. After centrifugation, aspirate supernatant down to 1 mL above cell pellet. Resuspend cells by gentle swirling in 3 to 4 mL of fresh medium. Seed at a concentration of 2 to 2.5 x 10⁴ viable cells/mL. Transfer to new culture flasks when necessary.
